For version 21.05 and above BMC Helix Virtual Agent Advanced customers, the BMC Helix Cognitive Search, is entitled to your subscription service without the purchase of a separate Cognitive Search license. For more information on your BMC Helix Virtual Agent entitlements, please review BMC Helix Virtual Agent Advanced service.

Licensing

The BMC Helix Cognitive Search service is recommended with the purchase of the BMC Helix Virtual Agent subscription. It augments the Virtual Agent by allowing you to retrieve both pre-trained answers as well as more complex content found in your knowledge articles, product manuals, projects reports and other knowledge sources. It may be purchased with the following line item:

With the "per document - SaaS" unit of measurement, a document is defined as a record or file that is queried through the service. A license is required for the average number of documents stored on an hourly basis through the service for each calendar month.

The following additional terms apply to the BMC Helix Cognitive Search service:

• Licensing terms and conditions are as defined in the governing master agreement and take precedence over any published description from this site.
• Entitlements are subject to change.
• Licenses are sold in one million document increments.
• Non-production environments are configured with the same license capacity as the production environment. 
• Purchased licenses are only valid on one production environment.
