BMC's Helix services are hosted from various regional locations. Each customer's service location is dependent on various factors such as environment type, proximity of the customer to the data location, and customer sector (public versus private).

Important

BMC supports the data residency requirements of its customers through the initial selection of a service location. Once selected, data remains within the primary and secondary locations for that service. Customers who purchase services that utilize the IBM Watson features may have select data transferred to/from the corresponding IBM service location.

Service locations and compliance

BMC is committed to offering its services from facilities that meet or exceed the rigorous standards and compliance requirements of our customers. The following table summarizes the key compliance and certification types available from each location.

BMC has partnered with IBM for seamless integration to its BMC Helix Virtual Agent and Cognitive Automation services. IBM Watson Assistant and Discovery capabilities are provided from the location listed.

The backups for your BMC Helix subscription hosted within India OCI and United Arab Emirates (UAE) OCI will be stored in datacenter locations within Hyderabad and Abu Dhabi (UAE Central) respectively.

Each BMC-controlled service location adheres to the following minimum standards:

  • Security framework: based on the NIST SP 800-53 standards at a Moderate level

  • Guarded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Automated building monitoring system that oversees facility power, environment, and backup systems

    I see that the jitterbit integration is hosted in US East Coast Virginia but I do not see the Virginia AWS location listed for Commercial.

    Has that already been removed in anticipation of migrating the ADE stack in VA to Oregon?

      Hi Dony, mindful that the docs site may have been updated since your comment.  Would you mind looking at the North America Commercial AWS locations again and confirm if what you are expecting is reflected?  

      The Jitterbit North Virginia location is only listed for North America AWS locations as a default.  Unless specifically requested by customers in other regions for their Jitterbit to be hosted out of North Virginia.
