 26.1.00

Upgrade to the latest fine-tuned AI model

The latest fine-tuned AI model, HelixGPT-v7.3, is available for BMC Helix AIOps. Tenant administrators can deploy it in their environment to use the latest agentic AI capabilities for BMC Helix AIOps.

For more information, see Upgrading to the latest AI model.

(Controlled availability customers only) Enhance Situation Root Cause Analysis with Agentic AI-based Deep RCA

When operators or site reliability engineers (SREs) click on a situation, the Deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capability starts to conduct a comprehensive 360-degree analysis of the IT infrastructure to identify the exact root cause. BMC Helix AIOps analyses change requests and log data by using AI agents to detect, diagnose, and re-evaluate the root cause.

Operators or SREs can view detailed output and the reasoning behind the analysis. When Deep RCA is completed, they can click Update Situation to replace the original situation summary and causal graph with the Deep RCA result. In complex IT infrastructure scenarios, Deep RCA helps identify the exact cause of the issue, reduces the triage time, and improves MTTR.

For more information, see Identifying the root cause of the situation by using Deep RCA.

Get similar situations for incident analysis with the Ops Swarmer agent

Get a list of similar situations for a situation ID or an incident ID by asking the Give me similar situations for <situation ID/incident ID> question to the Ops Swarmer agent in Microsoft Teams. By reviewing similar situations, operators or SREs can identify patterns, learn about the first or most recent occurrences, and the actual count of similar situations. These details help resolve issues before they escalate into problems.

For more information, see Using the BMC Helix Ops Swarmer agent with Microsoft Teams to help resolve situations.

Identify event correlation gaps with the Top Offenders section in the AIOps Value dashboard

The Top Offenders panel in the AIOps Value dashboard highlights events with missing node or service associations. By identifying correlation and modeling gaps, this section enables operators and SREs to reduce standalone events and maximize the operational value of situations. For more information, see AIOps Value dashboard.

Analyze a subset of traces in the OTel Raw Trace Data dashboard

Use the service namespace, service name, and data source filters in the OTel Raw Trace Data dashboard to focus on a subset of traces that are required for analyzing and troubleshooting application issues.

For more information, see OTel Raw Trace Data dashboard.

(Available for logged-in users only) Get help faster with DocuAssistant

Use DocuAssistant, an AI-powered tool, to find answers to your questions, get procedural information, clarify concepts, and understand terms better. DocuAssistant retrieves answers from the official BMC Helix documentation. To get help, click the DocuAssistant DocuAssistant icon on the documentation page and type your question.

(Controlled availability customers only) Control the loading of CIs on the service details page in large topologies

When you open the CI topology of a service with a large number of Configuration Items (CIs), by default, all CIs start loading at once, which slows down the UI and makes navigation difficult until everything finishes loading. As a tenant administrator, you can control the initial number of CIs that should be displayed in the topology view by using the Maximum numbers of CI displayed in Topology views option on the General Settings page. If a service is impacted, only the root cause CI and its related CIs are displayed initially, avoiding delays in root cause analysis.

For more information, see Identifying the impacted CI nodes from CI topology view.

Automate vulnerability remediation in BMC Helix AIOps

As the Vulnerability Manager, you can use the Plan Automation capability to navigate to the Create Operation page in BMC Helix Automation Console to create a remediation operation for single or multiple vulnerability instances. This capability eliminates the need for manual navigation from one application to the other, thereby saving time and improving efficiency.

For more information, see Investigating vulnerabilities.

Improvements to the Vulnerability details page

You can view the following information about the impacted assets on the Vulnerability details page:

  • Automation: Displays any remediation operations mapped to the vulnerability instances in BMC Helix Automation Console.
  • Remediation Tool: Lists the source of the remediation operations mapped to the vulnerability instance.
  • Remediation status: Displays the remediation status of vulnerability instances.
  • Business Owner, IT Owner, and Support Manager: Display the different remediation owners assigned to a vulnerability instance.
  • End of Life: Displays the dates when the asset reaches the end of its lifecycle.
  • End of Support: Displays the dates when vendor support for the asset ends.

These improvements help prioritize vulnerabilities effectively, improve efficiency, enhance transparency, and reduce the risk of SLA breaches.

For more information, see Investigating vulnerabilities.
