Analyzing data with BMC Helix Dashboards

BMC Helix Dashboardsprovides the capability to visualize the current state of your IT operations for various aspects of your environment.

As an operator or a site reliability engineer (SRE), you can use the out-of-the-box dashboards to quickly visualize and analyze data in your environment. Marketplace Content dashboards are created by the BMC community members. You can create a copy of these dashboards and customize them according to your business requirements.

To access BMC Helix Dashboards

Log on to BMC Helix Portal and click the BMC Helix Dashboards tile.
From the navigation , click Dashboards.
1. For out-of-the-box dashboards: Search for or navigate to the folder where the dashboard you want to view is available and select it.

2. For marketplace content dashboards: Search for the Marketplace Content folder and select the dashboard that you want to view or copy.

To create custom dashboards by using BMC HelixGPT Insight Finder

BMC HelixGPTInsight Finder is an AI agent in BMC Helix Dashboards that can generate dashboards for BMC Helix AIOps based on natural language input. It simplifies the process of creating dashboards, reduces manual effort, and provides real-time insights, enabling you to make smarter decisions without requiring extensive expertise.
You can specify your requirements as prompts to BMC HelixGPT Insight Finder. It analyzes the prompts and provides responses in the form of dashboard panels.

To view dashboards in BMC Helix AIOps

Based on your organization's requirements, you can embed out-of-the-box or custom dashboards into the BMC Helix AIOps console, thus reducing the need to switch between applications and improving turnaround time for resolving issues. There's no limit to the number of dashboards embedded in the console.

You can continue to view these dashboards in BMC Helix Dashboards.

Important

Contact BMC Helix support team to embed dashboards in the BMC Helix AIOps console.

As an operator or an SRE, log on to the console and click Dashboards to view and select the dashboard of your choice from the list.

In the following example, view the CI Resource Usage across your IT infrastructure as part of the Platform Observability dashboard. You can change the date range, zoom in and out, and perform all supported actions.
