Configuring your personal settings

As an operator or a site reliability engineer (SRE), configure the UI settings to enhance your experience with the BMC Helix AIOps console.

These are general settings that apply to the logged-in user only.

The following video (2:13) by the BMC Support team shows how to configure your personal settings for the BMC Helix AIOps console

To set your default landing page

  1. Select Configurations > General Settings.
  2. From the Default Landing Page list, select the page you want to see after logging on to the BMC Helix AIOps console.
The Overview page is automatically set as your default landing page after the initial configuration. You can select Services or Situations as your default landing page if you have permission to view or manage the pages.

To enable the dark theme for the console

  1. Select Configurations > General Settings.
  2. Use the AIOps Dark Theme toggle option to enable or disable the dark theme for the BMC Helix AIOps console.
By default, the dark theme is disabled.

To configure the automatic refresh interval

  1. Select Configurations > General Settings.
  2. Configure automatic data refresh interval for the following pages:

    • Overview: Select the number of minutes (default is 5 minutes) from the list, after which you want the Overview page to refresh automatically.
The available options are 2 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes.
    • Services: Select the number of minutes (default is 5 minutes) from the list, after which you want the Services page to refresh automatically.
The available options are 2 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes.
    • Service Details: Select the number of minutes from the list, after which you want the service details page to refresh automatically.
By default, the service details page is not automatically refreshed, and the Auto Refresh Interval option is set to Off. The available options are 5 minutes and 10 minutes.
    • Situations: Select the number of minutes (default is 5 minutes) from the list, after which you want the Situations page to refresh automatically.
The available options are 2 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes.

A success message indicates that the settings were saved successfully. The automatic refresh interval applies to active browser sessions. If you navigate to another browser tab or application and then return to the original page, it is refreshed immediately and displays the current state of the system's health. After this refresh, the auto-refresh timeout starts based on the configured interval. The tab or browser sessions are not automatically refreshed if the Auto Refresh Interval option is set to Off.
