Editing and deleting connectors


After you create a connector for a BMC Helix or third-party product, you can edit the source and destination details for the connector. You can remove the connector when it is no longer needed.

Don't change the destination configuration unless directed by BMC Helix Support.

To edit the source details for a connector

  1. Depending on the deployment mode, perform one of the following steps to access BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations:
    • BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations SaaS: Log on to BMC Helix Portal, and click the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations tile.
    • BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises gateway: Depending on the platform, use one of the following URLs to access the on-premises gateway:
      • (Docker or Podman) https://<hostName>:<portNumber>/swpui
      • (Kubernetes or OpenShift) https://<swpuingress>/swpui
  2. Edit the source connection details:
    1. On the CONNECTORS tab, click Configure MediatorConfigureMediator_icon.png on the SOURCES panel for the connector you want to edit.
    2. Edit the source connection details by using one of the following methods:
      • Edit the values provided in the UI fields.
      • Turn on Edit JSON, and edit the parameter values.
  3. Click Validate.
  4. Expand the data type for which you want to edit the parameters.
  5. Edit the collector configuration and distributor configuration details by using one of the following methods:

    • Edit the values provided in the UI fields. 
    • Turn on Edit JSON and edit the parameter values.
  6. Click Save & Close.

To delete a connector

  1. Depending on the deployment mode, perform one of the following steps to access BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations:
    • BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations SaaS: Log on to BMC Helix Portal, and click the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations tile.
    • BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises gateway: Depending on the platform, use one of the following URLs to access the on-premises gateway:
      • (Docker or Podman) https://<hostName>:<portNumber>/swpui
      • (Kubernetes or OpenShift) https://<swpuingress>/swpui
  2. On the CONNECTORS tab, select the source on the SOURCES panel that you want to delete, and click EDIT
  3. Click Delete Delete_icon.png and then confirm the deletion.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
