22.3.01
Predict service outages proactively
BMC Helix AIOps performs ML-based service failure prediction. It uses the service health indicators and their threshold settings to forecast the service impact. As an operator, you can monitor the list of prediction events that might impact a service with its predicted severity and first impact occurrence. Timely prediction enables you to perform remediation actions to prevent the future service outages.
For more information, see Monitoring service predictions.
Add extended attributes to CI Kinds (Node kinds)
Add extended attributes to a CI Kind when creating service blueprints. Though these attributes are not defined in the BMC Discovery taxonomy, they are used by some CIs in BMC Helix AIOps.
For more information, see Modeling service blueprints.
Enhancements in the Services and service details page
This section describes some of the enhancements available in the Services and service details pages.
Improved filters on the Services page
On the Services page, use Filter by Severity to filter and view the services by their severity. Select one or more filters or use Select all to view services of all severities. The filter selection applies to both the heatmap and tile views.
For more information, see Monitoring services.
View the number of Situations associated with an impacted service
View the number of associated Situations for each impacted service on both the heatmap and tile views.
On the heatmap view, hover over a service to view the number of Situations. For more information, see Monitoring services.
On the tile view, the number of Situations is displayed on a tile as shown in the following image. For more information, see Monitoring services.
Perform event actions from the Event Details pane
The event actions menu is available on the Event Details pane. Use the options in this menu to perform actions on individual events.
For more information, see Performing ML-based root cause isolation of an impacted service.
Add notes to an event
Add notes to an event or view the existing notes added to an event from the Event Details > Logs and Notes section. You can view the same notes in BMC Helix Operations Management too.
For more information, see Performing ML-based root cause isolation of an impacted service.
Enhancements to the Situations page
This section describes some of the enhancements available for the Situations page.
View the impacted services for ML-based Situations
When viewing the details of an ML-based Situation, you can view the names of the services impacted by this Situation and use the service name link to view the service details.
For more information, see Investigating ML-based situations.
Perform actions from the Situation details page
Use the action menu on the Situation details page to perform actions on individual Situations, such as acknowledging a Situation, taking ownership, and so on.

View service health insights
On the Insights tab, view and analyze the summary of service health behavior and its severity pattern for a pre-defined period of 15 days, derive insights, and take corrective measures to ensure service continuity.
For more information, see Performing ML-based root cause isolation of an impacted service.
Health behavior
The summary text shows the highest health score % degradation and the graph shows the moving trend for the entire predefined period.
Severity pattern
The summary text shows the daily occurrence time of Critical or Major severity, and the corresponding graph shows the severity occurrence pattern highlighted for the predefined period.
Configure and view service health indicators
Define health indicators, add metrics, and configure alarm generation conditions while creating or editing service models. View the impact from the Health Indicators tab.
For more information, see Modeling services.
Filter services using associated labels
When you create services, associate labels as a name-value pair of your choice. On the Services page, use these labels to filter specific services from the list of all services.
For more information, see Monitoring services.
Customize and reorder columns
Use the column selector to customize the column display on the service details and Situation details views. You can drag and drop the columns to reposition them.
For more information, see Monitoring services and Monitoring situations.
View the event class for a service
In the Root Cause Isolation tab for a service, the Class column displays an event class with an icon. Hover over the class icon to see the event class name as a tooltip.
