Upgrading TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform using the wizard

To upgrade TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform using the wizard
Do the following:
- Log in to the host computer where you want to upgrade TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
- On the host computer, ensure that you have Administrator privileges.
Depending on your operating system, download the installation and upgrade files for this version of TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform from the EPD.
To know more about the files, see Downloading the installation files .
(Windows) Unzip the TrueSight_Smart_Reporting-19.3-Windows.zip file.
(Linux) Untar the TrueSight_Smart_Reporting-19.3-Linux.tar.gz file.
Stop the TrueSightSmartReporting service. Do the following:
(Windows) Stop the TrueSightSmartReporting service.
Note: TrueSight Smart Reporting in non-English locales
In non-English locales, the TrueSightSmartReporting service appears as the Yellowfin service.
- (Linux) Navigate to the <install_dir>/appserver/bin/ folder and run the following command:
./shutdown.sh
Back up the following:
- TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform or Yellowfin database
- TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform file system
Run one of the following commands:
- (Windows)
java -jar TrueSight-SmartReporting-Update-19.3.jar
- (Linux)
java -jar TrueSight-SmartReporting-Update-19.3.jar -gui
- (Windows)
- In the installer screen, click Next.
- On the licence agreement page, select I accept the terms of this licence agreement, and click Next.
- On the TrueSight Smart Reporting Patch page, ensure that the upgrade location is same as the location where you installed TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform, and click Next.
- Click Done to complete the upgrade process.
Apply the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform 19.3.00.001 hotfix.
Start TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. Do the following:
(Windows) Start the TrueSightSmartReporting service.
Note: TrueSight Smart Reporting in non-English locales
In non-English locales, the TrueSightSmartReporting service appears as the Yellowfin service.
- (Linux) Navigate to the <install_dir>/appserver/bin/ folder and run the following command:
./startup.sh
- Log in to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
Troubleshooting
Unable to access TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform after an upgrade.
If you encounter errors when you try to access TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform after a successful upgrade, do not run the upgrade again.
Restart the TrueSightSmartReportingservice to avoid this issue.
If you run the upgrade again, you cannot access TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform and some database-related errors are displayed.
