Modify the Log4j configuration in Virtual Chat Administration Console

As an administrator, you can modify the Log4j out-of-the-box settings and values in Virtual Chat Administration Console to change the log levels. The physical Log4j file continues to be located at the following path: 

Apache Tomcat webapps\<webapp>\WEB-INF\classes directory.

Agents are notified when their session times out

The following screenshot shows an example of the message displayed in the agent console when an agent's session times out:

Enable or disable typing notifications in Live Chat

As an administrator, you can configure whether you want to display typing notifications when an agent or end user is typing in the chat window. 

  • If an agent and the end user are on different pods, by default, the notifications are displayed. You can disable the notifications. 
  • If an agent and the end user are on the same pod, by default, the notifications are always displayed and cannot be disabled.
