Changing the Self Service Portal log in label


As an administrator, you can change the Self Service Portal log in label. By default, the log in label is set to Remedy ID, as shown in the following image:

To change the log in label

  1. From the IT Home Page, select Virtual Chat > Virtual Chat Administration Console.
  2. Under Self Service Portal, click Configuration
  3. Select the authentication section and click Modify.
  4. In the <auth_method> section, under the <field> <name> tag, change the word Remedy to the new value.
    The following figure shows the value changed to Global ID

  5. Click Refresh Servlets on the Self Service Portal Configuration pane.
    The servlet is refreshed and the changes are applied.

Note

If the Refresh Servlets button does not exist, automatic servlet refresh is not configured. For more information about configuring automatic servlet refresh, see Enabling-the-Refresh-Servlet-feature.
