Important

These views are available only with the BMC AMI Ops for Networks solution.

You can use the NTWCONSD view to configure the Network Console by specifying the BMC AMI Ops Automation SSID. The NTWCONSD view displays the Network Console status and its parameters.

To view the Network Console, use the Networks Console field to hyperlink to the AUXLOG view in BMC AMI Ops Automation. To define customized Quick Commands, use the hyperlink on the Quick Commands field in the NTWCONSD view.

You can access the NTWCONSD view by using one of the following hyperlinks:

  • Network Console field on EZIP menu
  • AO Interface Status field on MVIPADMD

When searching for an active AO, you can specify wildcards in the AutoOPERATOR SSID field. The search finds the first matching AO that is active and is authorized for BMC AMI Ops for Networks.

Defining VTAM and TCP/IP Quick Commands

  1. Type ADD in the CMD field to open the Add AO Command panel.
  2. In the Quick Cmd field, type the Quick Command name.
  3. In the Command field, type the full command. When defining multiple rules, use &WORD2 for the second parameter, and &WORD3 for the third parameter and so on. For more information about using parameters, see the Quick Command examples.
  4. (Optional) In the Descr field, type the description of the AO command.
  5. In the Enable field, type Y or N, depending on whether you want to enable the command upon adding.
