This documentation supports the 22.1 version of BMC Helix Single Sign-On, which is available only to BMC Helix customers (SaaS). To view an earlier version, select the version from the Product version menu.

Installing


After you complete the tasks to plan the installation of Remedy Single Sign-On, perform the following tasks to install BMC Helix SSO:

Before installing BMC Helix SSO, download the installation files and document your installation values, such as the database name and type.

Install BMC Helix SSO by using one of the available installation methods:

  • Install BMC Helix SSO by using the installation wizard.
  • Install BMC Helix SSO silently.
  • Install BMC Helix SSO by manually running the installation scripts.

Verify that the installation is successful by logging in to BMC Helix SSO Admin Console.

(Recommended) When you install the BMC Helix SSO server, the database password is encrypted with a hard coded key.

Best practice
For security reasons, we recommend that you re-encrypt the database password with a new key after you perform a fresh installation of Remedy SSO.
