Adding time stamps to chat messages

You can optionally display a time stamp on each chat message in the Self Service Portal. Timestamps are visible only when the Show Chat Log check box is selected.

To configure time stamps

  1. Open the Virtual Chat Administration Console.
  2. Select Self Service Portal > Configuration.
  3. Select the Application Portal entry and click Modify.
  4. In the Application Properties section, add a time stamp tag with the following format:

    <timestamphtml><span style='font-size:x-small;'>([TIMESTAMP])</span></timestamphtml> <timestampformat>HH:mm:ss aaa EEE,MMM dd,yyyy</timestampformat>
  5. Save the changes.
