Benchmarking results for BMC Remedy Single Sign-on 18.08

BMC Remedy Single Sign-on (RSSO) is a product of the BMC Remedy ITSM suite. RSSO supports SSO integration of the AR Platform with other authentication products such as LDAP, SAML, KERBEROS.

This topic covers the Remedy Single Sign-on (RSSO) 18.08 benchmark, where the RSSO is deployed as in independent service.

Test Environment

BMC built a dedicated setup for RSSO benchmarking. All the hardware, except the database server, are virtualized. Each virtual machine (VM) hosts a deployed instance.

The following table describes servers in this setup:

Note

  • Timings reported above are server response times, excluding web browser rendering time. BMC used the Micro Focus Silk Performer product as the load driver to simulate the concurrent online users load. The Silk Performer tool measured the server response times from the client's perspective, i.e., from the time the HTTP request is issued to the time the HTTP response is received from the server. The response time for RSSO Authentication is recorded as shown below during the load test.

  • For the given configurations deployed with Remedy 18.08 RSSO we can achieve 20 Authentication requests per second with 0.09 second average server response time and 8.6% CPU utilization.
