Setting up and going live
After you subscribe to BMC Helix ITSM or BMC Helix Business Workflows, BMC provisions and activates the environment and provides access details for the subscribed services. BMC Helix Innovation Suite Knowledge Management (ISKM) is included with these subscriptions and serves as the enterprise knowledge management solution.
By default, ISKM is selected as the knowledge base for BMC Helix Business Workflows.
For new BMC Helix ITSM customers, ISKM is enabled by default. Before users can create or manage knowledge articles, administrators must complete the required configuration, such as setting up templates and approval workflows.
For existing BMC Helix ITSM customers, ISKM is not enabled automatically. Administrators must enable it and complete the required configuration steps before the solution can be used.
