Setting up and going live
After you subscribe to BMC Helix ITSM or BMC Helix Business Workflows, BMC provisions and activates your environment and provides access details for the subscribed services. BMC Helix Innovation Suite Knowledge Management (ISKM) is included with these subscriptions and is available as the enterprise knowledge management solution.
For new customers, ISKM is enabled by default as the active knowledge management solution. Before users can create or manage knowledge articles, administrators must complete the required configuration, including setting up templates and approval workflows.
For existing customers, ISKM is not enabled automatically. An administrator must explicitly enable ISKM and complete the required configuration steps before the solution can be used.
