Adding an image to the Instructions field

You can add an image to the Instructions field the same way that you add an image to a character field. You can add up to 3 images in the Instructions field. The images must be in the JPG or GIF format.

BMC Service Request Management uses the rich text formatting (RTF) editor to insert the image. The RTF editor is available with Remedy Mid Tier and can be used even when you have installed earlier versions of the Remedy AR System, BMC Atrium Core, and Remedy IT Service Management applications. For more information about the new RTF editor, seeRich text formatting editor overview.

Adding an image

Click the Image image icon.PNG icon to add an image to a character field. The image is accessible through a URL.

  1. Specify the URL to access the image. 
    You can also define alternative text for the image.
  2. (Optional) Set the options for height, width, border, Hspace, Vspace, and alignment.
  3. Click OK.

Note

You can preview the image in the Preview pane before adding it to the field.

 

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
