Migrating Smart IT Branding, App name, Landing page and custom URL actions to the Innovation Suite

Configurations and settings fetched from Smart IT

The following information is fetched from classic Smart IT:

• CCS parameter:
  • landingPage under the global settings (*) of the com.bmc.arsys.smartit
• Branding configurations:
  • Product Name
  • Product Logo
  • Favicon
  • Primary and Secondary Colors
  • Global Menu Items
    
    

Settings applied in BMC Helix Innovation Studio

Based on the configurations fetched from Smart IT, the following changes are done in BMC Helix Innovation Studio during the one-click enablement process:

• Update Skinning and branding settings:
  • The Primary and Secondary colors under BMC ADAPT Theme are updated.
  • The company logo and favicon under Images are updated.
    
    
    
    
• Update IS Shell configurations:
  • Add actions to the navigation bar corresponding to each global menu item from classic Smart IT.
• Update Application settings:
  • Display name is updated with the product name from classic Smart IT.
  • Home page path is updated with the value from landingPage CCS parameter in Centralized Configuration.
• The Smart IT URLs in custom IS views are replaced with IS URLs.
• The bookmarked Smart IT URLs are redirected to IS URLs.
