Adding an application for ​HelixGPT Agent Studio​

Administrators can use BMC HelixGPT in both your custom applications and out-of-the-box applications developed by using BMC Helix Innovation Studio. To leverage the BMC HelixGPT capabilities in custom applications, the HelixGPT chat component must be enabled in them. For custom applications not already registered in HelixGPT Agent Studio, administrators must register them and create skills and prompts in it.

Registering the application in HelixGPT Agent Studio gives flexibility to group and manage the skills and prompts for your application. After registering your application in the HelixGPT Agent Studio and creating skills, you must add this skill to the HelixGPT Chat component to enable the BMC HelixGPT-powered virtual chat capability in your custom application.

 Before you begin

Make sure that you have included the HelixGPT Chat component in your custom application.

To use prebuilt application

1. Log in to HelixGPT Agent Studio. 
2. From the Application list, select the application for which you want to create a skill.
   
3. After selecting the application, create skills and prompts in it.

If the out-of-the-box applications built in BMC Helix Innovation Studio are not listed in the drop-down, follow the process below to register the application.

To register an application in HelixGPT Agent Studio

1. HelixGPT Agent Studio, click Register application for HelixGPT.
   
2. In the Register application window, specify the following details:
   1. Application full name:  Write a name for the new application to be registered.
   2. Application short name:  Write a short name for the new application to be registered.
3. Select Bundle ID from the drop-down list if your application is built on BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
4. Click Add.
   

Your application is registered in BMC HelixGPT and appears in the Application drop-down list. 

After registering the application in BMC HelixGPT, you can create skills and prompts for the application or copy the skills and prompts from other applications.
