Pattern data set names
Pattern data set names can be specified in more than one BMC product. You can specify patterns for the names of the output data sets that the product creates. The patterns can consist of literal values and variable values.
When you specify the pattern, you have the flexibility to name the data sets according to the standards and conventions for your site.
