Guidelines for specifying pattern data set names
Follow these guidelines when you create pattern data set names.
- A pattern data set name must follow standard JCL conventions for data set names, but it can contain variables of your choosing.
- The first character of a qualifier must be a character (for example, SYS1.&DB.&DS.DATE&MM&YY).
- You can specify one pattern data set name for each customizable parameter or keyword.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
