When you upgrade the TrueSight Presentation Server to 11.3.04, the installer automatically backs up the installation and configuration files of the Presentation Server 11.3.xx, 11.0, and 10.7 installation in one of the following folders:

  • 11.3.0x
    • (Microsoft Windows) installationDirectory\truesightpserver_11.3.xx
    • (Linux) installationDirectory/truesightpserver_11.3.xx
  • 11.0
    • (Microsoft WindowsinstallationDirectory\truesightpserver_11.0.00
    • (Linux) installationDirectory/truesightpserver_11.0.00
  • 10.7
    • (Microsoft Windows) installationDirectory\truesightpserver_10.7.00
    • (LinuxinstallationDirectory/truesightpserver_10.7.00

The installer copies all the installation and configuration files of the TrueSight Presentation Server 11.3.04 installation in the following folder:

To restore the earlier version of the TrueSight Presentation Server

Note

In a HA deployment, even if the upgrade is successful on one node and fails on another node, you must restore the earlier version on both the primary server and the secondary server.

  1. Stop the TrueSight Presentation Server if it is running.
  2. Delete the new truesightpserver folder.
  3. Rename the truesightpserver_x.x.xx folder as truesightpserver. For example, rename truesightpserver_11.3.xx as truesightpserver.
If you are operating in a Linux environment, go to step 5.
  4. (Microsoft Windows) Open regedit and edit the display version settings stored in the following Windows registry key to 11.x.xx or 10.7.00:

    KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\TrueSightPServer
  5. Start the TrueSight Presentation Server.
  6. Reimport the CMA repository after the TrueSight Presentation Server is up and running.
