Managing risks

Any potential event, condition, or issue that could negatively impact the ability of IT operations to deliver value to the business can be considered a risk. By proactively identifying and addressing these risks, operator or site reliability engineers ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of IT operations, which are critical for overall business success.

BMC Helix AIOps displays vulnerabilities from BMC Helix Automation Console. BMC Helix Automation Console imports service and vulnerability data by using configured connectors or by using scanning systems such as Nessus, Qualys, and Rapid7. As an operator or a site reliability engineer (SRE), you can use the BMC HelixGPT Vulnerability Resolver to monitor these vulnerabilities, investigate the risks associated with them, and quickly prioritize remediation to restore the health of the impacted services.

Change requests represent a significant source of production issues. In many organizations, thousands of change requests are created and need to be implemented by DevOps teams, which increases the risk of outages. BMC HelixGPT Change Risk Advisor analyzes operations and service management data to identify risks associated with various types of changes, including code changes, infrastructure changes, network changes, and cloud changes. By examining historical change data alongside current operational data, the Change Risk Advisor provides a change risk score that allows Change Management, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE teams to assess the risks before implementing changes in production.
