HP P2000 Storage Systems

The HP P2000 SMI-S provider is embedded into the controllers of the system. Only G3 or later systems are supported.

Prerequisites

  • The SMI-S provider can be started by logging into the system via SSH and running “set protocols smis enabled”. (Note that only http or https can be enabled, not both).
  • The credentials to log into the HP P2000 system should be entered as WBEM credentials in BMC Discovery for the storage system's IP address.
  • Network access on a WBEM port (5988 for http or 5989 for https) from the BMC Discovery server to the storage array.

Limitations

HP P2000 G1/G2 systems (previously known as DotHill systems) are not fully supported.
