Organizations
In a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, manage role-based access and data of multiple entities by creating organizations. Each organization within an MSP tenant resembles a separate entity that has its own set of resources, access requirements, and configuration settings. The data and resources of each organization are isolated from other organizations to prevent unauthorized access. As an administrator of the MSP tenant, you can manage access control, resources, security, and compliance of organizations to cater to the specific requirements of organizations.
To create an MSP tenant or convert any of your existing tenants to an MSP tenant, contact the BMC Helix SaaS Operations team. After your MSP tenant is created, request the BMC Helix SaaS Operations team to run the sync job to sync data to BMC Helix Portal; for example, BMC Helix ITSM contains data from multiple companies. These companies are mapped to organizations in BMC Helix Portal after they are synced from BMC Helix ITSM. The users associated with the companies are also synced to organizations in BMC Helix Portal.
The default organization within MSP refers to the entity that manages the MSP operations and infrastructure. This organization is separate from the organizations that MSP manages for its clients. It has a specific identifier (Org 0) to differentiate it from other client organizations. You can request the BMC SaaS operations team to change the default organization.
User management for organizations
An administrator can change the associations of users and user groups of organizations except for the users and user groups synced from BMC Helix ITSM to BMC Helix Portal. For these users, the user management is performed in BMC Helix ITSM.

Report schedules created by organization users
As an MSP administrator, you can create report schedules to be sent to the users of organizations. However, users of one organization cannot access the report schedules created by users of other organizations.
For example, users of the Petramco organization cannot create report schedules to be sent to recipients of the Calbro Services organization, and the users of the Calbro Services organization cannot create report schedules to be sent to recipients of the Petramco organization.
