ZBDLSMAINTAIN - Maintaining logical system pairs

The SAP transaction BDLS is used to convert logical system names following SAP system refresh, system copy and system rename. Converting logical system names is a critical, yet time-consuming activity. To improve productivity, the process is automated using the custom SAP transaction ZBDLSMAINTAIN.

Complete the following steps to maintain the BDLS pairs:

  1. Execute the SAP transaction ZBDLSMAINTAIN. SAP_transaction_icon_1.gif
  2. One the following panel, click the Continue icon. SAP_continue_icon.gif

  3. Click the second icon on the toolbar for New Entries. SAP_new_entries_icon.gif

  4. Maintain the logical system pairs, along with information about the source and target <SAPSID> and target client number, as shown in the following figure.

  1. Click the Save icon on the toolbar. SAP_save_icon.gif

Update the ZBDLSMAINTAIN table whenever there is a new logical system pair or a change to an existing logical system pair when a new source and target <SAPSID> are participating in the SAP system refresh.
