Integrating existing BMC Remedy AR System applications
You can integrate your existing BMC Remedy AR System product as BMC Remedy AR System & IT Service Mgmt. Suite – Primary in the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management solution if you have any of the following product stacks:
- AR System + BMC Atrium Core + BMC Remedy ITSM + BMC Remedy Service Level Management + BMC Remedy Service Request Management + BMC Remedy Knowledge base Management
- AR System + BMC Atrium Core + BMC Remedy ITSM + BMC Remedy Service Request Management
- AR System + BMC Atrium Core + BMC Remedy Service Request Management
To integrate the AR System server in your Cloud implementation
- Verify that the supported versions of the following products are available in your environment:
- BMC Remedy AR System – 7.6.04 SP1
- BMC Remedy Mid Tier – 7.6.04 SP1
- BMC Atrium Core – 7.6.04 SP2
- BMC Remedy ITSM Suite (including BMC Remedy Change Management) – 7.6.04 SP1
- BMC Remedy Service Request Management – 7.6.04 SP1. This product is mandatory for Cloud Lifecycle Management.
- If any of the products are missing, install them by using standalone installers.
Make sure that the versions match the supported versions. For more information about installing standalone products, see the installation documentation for the particular product. - Make sure that the host on which you installed BMC Remedy AR System meets the prerequisites.
- Launch the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installer and choose the Integrate with an Existing Deployment option.
The installer prompts you to specify whether you have the installation registry for the solution. Because the BMC Remedy AR System you are integrating will be the first product, it means a registry file does not yet exist. - Choose the I do not have a backup BMC Installation Registry option.
- On the Deployment template panel, specify the host name of the existing BMC Remedy AR System server in the BMC AR System server & IT Service Mgt. Suite - Primary field.
- Specify other information as required by the installer.
- Relaunch the installer and choose the Modify Existing Deployment option.
- Install the BMC Remedy AR System - Cloud Database product and perform the post-installation steps:
- Create the AR Orchestration user.
- Configure the Distributed Server Option mappings.
Relaunch the installer and install the remaining products by using the Modify Existing Deployment option.
