Displaying business events and outages on the calendar view as additional ticket types
To display the business events in the calendar
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default Calendar.

- Select the Calendar component.
- In the Properties area, under Field mappings for filters, click Edit filter mappings.

- In the Add/Remove Filter Mappings window, select Data Provider ID > Edit named filter options.

- In the Edit named filter options for Ticket Type window, click Add named filter option.

- In the Filter option name field, enter Business Event.
- Under Filter, select Click to build an expression.
- In the Edit expression window, in the Expression for Task field, enter ‘380’ = “Business Time Shared Entity-Entity Association_Join_Join”.

- (Optional) Alternatively, in Available values, in the Filter field, search for Type.
You can then add the complete expression as
- Select the Enable named filter check box.
- Click Save.
To enable the fetching of business events for the calendar
As an administrator, perform the following steps to display business events in Calendar:
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default Calendar.

- Select the Calendar component.
- In the Properties area, turn on the Fetch business events? toggle key.

To display the outages in the calendar
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default Calendar.

- Select the Calendar component.
- In the Properties area, under Field mappings for filters, click Edit filter mappings.

- In the Add/Remove Filter Mappings window, select Data Provider ID > Edit named filter options.

- In the Edit named filter options for Ticket Type window, click Add named filter option.

- In the Filter option name field, enter Outage.
- Under Filter, select Click to build an expression.
- In the Edit expression window, in the Expression for Task field, enter ‘380’ = “AST:CI Unavailability”.

- (Optional) Alternatively, in Available values, in the Filter field, search for Type.
You can then add the complete expression as
. - Select the Enable named filter check box.
- Click Save.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
