Onboarding and implementing


Use BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations and  BMC Helix Developer Tools for building integrations with third-party and BMC products to collect event, metric, topology, and services data.

After your subscription is activated, perform the following tasks as a tenant administrator:

When your account is created, you receive a URL and the credentials to log in to BMC Helix Portal.

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Portal.
  2. Depending on your requirements, click BMC Helix Developer Tools or BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations tile to launch the required product.

(Perform this task if you are using BMC Helix Developer Tools, or if you are using BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations (SaaS deployment) and the third-party product from which you want to collect data is hosted in a SaaS environment.)

Configure your identity provider to set up more users and user groups, and assign specific permissions to them. Perform user management functions in BMC Helix Portal.

3. 

BMC Helix Developer Tools: Use this product to build custom integrations, integrate with TrueSight Operations Management, and collect logs for BMC Helix Log Analytics.

BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations: Use this product to configure integrations with third-party products to collect event, metric, and topology data.

Depending on whether the third-party product you want to configure an integration with is hosted in a cloud environment or on-premises environment, do one of the following:

  • If the third-party product is hosted in a SaaS environment: Continue using the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations tile that you clicked in Task 1 to collect the event, metric, and topology data.
  • If the third-party product is hosted in an on-premises environment: Deploy the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations Gateway in your own environment, and start collecting event, metric, and topology data.
