Service connector capabilities

Service connectors connect your catalog to external systems. BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog includes out-of-the-box connectors.

As a developer or an application business analyst, you can use BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by Jitterbit and MuleSoft, to integrate BMC Helix Innovation Studio applications with third-party applications. BMC Helix iPaaS is an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), used to connect BMC products with on-premises, cloud, and legacy third-party applications. Learn more about BMC Helix iPaaS integration in the BMC Helix iPaaS Open link documentation. For more information about the integration with BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by Jitterbit, see Integrating BMC Helix Innovation Studio applications with third-party applications by using BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by Jitterbit Open link . For more information about the integration with BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by MuleSoft, see Integrating BMC Helix Innovation Studio applications with third-party applications by using BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by MuleSoft Open link .

BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog also supports automation connectors configured in BMC Helix Innovation Studio. For more information about automation connectors, see Automating processes Open link  in the official BMC Helix Innovation Studio documentation.

Before you begin

Before you can use a connector, you must create the connection and add configuration details, as described in Configuring service connectors. The following table lists the abilities of service connectors provided by BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog

Connector name column—Indicates the link to additional details about the connector.

Catalog import column—Indicates connectors that provide the ability to import services or other items into the service catalog.

Process workflow column—Indicates connectors that can be used in the process workflow for service fulfillment.

Resource mapping column—Indicates connectors that provide the ability to map data resources to responses in the service questionnaire.

A blank cell indicates that the connector does not include the capability.
