Running BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer in silent mode

This topic provides instructions for installing BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer in silent mode.

When installing BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer using the silent mode consider the following:

  • To install BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer in server group environment, install BMC Remedy ITSM Process Designer first on the primary server and then on all the secondary servers.

To run the installer in silent mode

  1. Navigate to the directory where the install files are extracted:
    • Microsoft Windows — <Process Designer Install directory>\ProcessDesigner\Disk1
    • UNIX — <Process Designer Install directory>/ProcessDesigner/Disk1

  2. Run the installer with the -i silent option.

    • On Windows — setup.exe -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE=pathToFile\Options.txt
    • On UNIX — setup.bin -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE=pathToFile/Options.txt

    You must use an complete path to the Options.txt file.
