Configuring the cognitive summarization service

After you've subscribed to the appropriate service license to use the cognitive summarization service, configure the cognitive summarization service in BMC Helix Innovation Studio. 

The cognitive summarization service helps you generate a text summary based on the input text provided.

To enable the cognitive summarization service

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Cognitive and chatbot > Summarization service.

  3. On the Summarization service page, enter the following details:

    Field

    Description

    API endpoint URL

    Enter the API URL for the summarization service. 

    User name

    Enter the user name of the summarization service that you are using.

    Password

    Enter the password of the summarization service that you are using.

  4. To test the connection, click Test connection.
  5. After verifying the connection is successful, click Save.

To configure the cognitive summarization service

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Cognitive and chatbot > Cognitive service.
  3. From the Configure list, select Summarization service configuration.
  4. Expand the Summarization service configuration section.
  5. To enable the summarization service, enable the Enable summarization service option.
  6. In Summarization Percentage field, enter the percentage of sentences that you want to extract from the input text for summarization.
  7. To test the connection, click Test connection.
  8. After verifying the connection is successful, click Save.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
