Specifying a DSO host name
The information in this topic is applicable only for on-premises deployments.
In distributed mappings, DSO uses the default server name for the From Server Name field unless you specify a DSO host name (DSO-Host-Name) in the AR System Configuration Generic UI form. (The default server name is specified in the Server-Name entry in the AR System server configuration file.)
If necessary, you can configure AR System to use a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or "long name" for distributed operations. DSO automatically puts the DSO-Host-Name value in the From Server Name field whenever that field is on a form involved in a distributed operation.
To specify a DSO host name
- Stop the AR System server serverName service.
- On the AR System Configuration Generic UI form, enter the host name in the following format:
DSO-Host-Name:hostName.domainName
In this format, hostName is the short name of the From server, such as sanfrancisco, and domainName is the domain name of the From server, such as acme.com.
See Updating-configuration-settings-by-using-the-AR-System-Configuration-Generic-UI-form. - Save the configuration form.
- Restart the AR System server serverName service.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
