Adding placeholder views for bulk updates and in-row actions for Shared Ticket Console and Asset Console
In Shared Ticket Console, you can update the status of tickets in bulk by clicking Update status. The Update status window opens, and you can select the status to which you want to move the tickets. The Update status views define the interface of this Update status window. Each ticket type has its view defined. You can customize these views from the placeholder views in the Manage Views section.
From version 23.3.03, customize the views corresponding to the following bulk actions and in-row actions from the Manage Views section:

You must replace the default views with respective placeholder views to see the placeholder views in the Manage Views section.
To replace the default Update status views with out-of-the-box placeholder views in Shared Ticket Console
Perform the following steps to replace the default views for Update status with their respective placeholder views:
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default IT Ticket Console SM.
- In Record grid, click the Update status action button.
- In Properties, under Actions, click Edit actions.
- Click the Open view action of the view for which you want to replace the default view.
For example, the view for Incident update status. The out-of-the-box default view is Default Incident update status. - Update the View property by searching and replacing Default Incident update status or a customized view with the out-of-the-box placeholder view Incident update status.
Repeat steps 7 and 8 to replace the remaining default views of all update status views with their respective placeholder views:

- Click Save.
- Click Save again to save the main console view.
The updated placeholder views are now visible in the Manage Views section.
To replace the default Update assignment views with out-of-the-box placeholder views in Shared Ticket Console
Perform the following steps to replace the default views for Update assignment with their respective placeholder views:
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default IT Ticket Console SM.
- In Record grid, click the update assignment action button.
- In Properties, under Actions, click Edit actions.
- Click the Open view action of the view for which you want to replace the default view.
For example, the view for Incident update assignment. The out-of-the-box default view is Default Update Assignment_Incident. - Update the View property by searching and replacing Default Update Assignment_Incident or a customized view with the out-of-the-box placeholder view Update Assignment_Incident.
Repeat steps 7 and 8 to replace the remaining default views of all update assignment views with their respective placeholder views:

To replace the default asset bulk update views with out-of-the-box placeholder views in Asset Console
Perform the following steps to replace the default views for Relate people and Update asset asset actions with their respective placeholder views:
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default Asset Console SM.
- In Record grid, click the Asset actions action button.
- In Properties, under Actions, click Edit dropdown actions.
Update the following dropdown actions:- Relate people
- Click Edit actions.
- Click the Open view action.
- Update the View property by searching and replacing Asset relate people or a customized view with the out-of-the-box placeholder view Asset relate people container.
- Click Edit actions.
- Update asset
- Click Edit actions.
- Click the Open view action.
- Update the View property by searching and replacing Default Asset Bulk Update View or a customized view with the out-of-the-box placeholder view Asset Bulk Update View.
- Click Save.
- Relate people
- Click Save.
- Click Save again to save the main console view.
The updated placeholder views are now visible in the Manage Views section.
To replace the default in-row action views with out-of-the-box placeholder views in Asset Console
Perform the following steps to replace the default views for View related people and View related CIs in-row actions with their respective placeholder views:
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio in Best Practice mode.
- On the Workspace tab, click Applications.
- Click ITSM Application.
- On the Views tab, click the customized copy view of the default view Default Asset Console SM.
- Click on the Record grid.
- Under General properties, click Edit row actions.
Update the following row actions:- View related people
- Click Edit actions.
- Click the Open view action.
- Update the View property by searching and replacing View related people or a customized view with the out-of-the-box placeholder view View related people container.
- Click Edit actions.
- View related CIs
- Click Edit actions.
- Click the Open view action.
- Update the View property by searching and replacing View related CIs or a customized view with the out-of-the-box placeholder view View related CIs container.
- Click Save.
- View related people
- Click Save.
- Click Save again to save the main console view.
The updated placeholder views are now visible in the Manage Views section.
