Configuring a default Mid Tier home page
To configure a home page for new users
Administrators use this procedure to set up a home page for new individual users. To perform this procedure you must have the permissions necessary to create new users in the system. The following procedure assumes that you have already set up a new user profile, as described in Creating and modifying People data.
- Log into BMC Helix ITSM as the user for whom you created the new profile.
- Open one of the application consoles that the user has access to, for example: BMC Helix ITSM: Service Desk.
- From the console navigation pane, click Application Preferences.
- From the Application Preferences dialog box, select the appropriate home page from the Default Home Page field menu.
- Click Save.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
