To upload localization strings for the custom column

Before performing this procedure, you must obtain the GUID of the custom column that you want to localize.
To obtain the GUID of a custom column, see steps to obtain GUID of a custom column.

You can localize any custom column in Shared Ticket console. In this procedure, we are localizing the Changemanager column to Spanish.

  1. In the ITSM Application page, select Actions > Download translations.
    The localizable-strings.json file is downloaded.
    Open the file and verify that the GUID of the custom column matches with the one displayed in the JSON view that you noted in the GUID procedure.
  2. Create a new JSON file and add the code to localize any custom column in Shared Ticket Console.
    For example, add the following code to localize the Changemanager column to Spanish:

    "es": {

    "5f4003c2-f7a3-4ec3-86a4-753e98ee839c": "ES_Changemanager"

  3. Rename and save the file.
  4. In the ITSM Applications page, select Actions > Upload translations.
  5. Upload the new JSON file.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
