Release Management predefined reports


The activities of most release coordinators center around release request analysis; for example, determining the length of time spent on release requests, types of releases requested, and frequently repeated tasks. The Release Management reports give you quick and easy access to information about your system.

To access the Reporting Console, in the navigation pane on the Release Management console, select Functions > Reports. When you select the type of report that you want to run, the report type pulls information from the appropriate BMC Helix ITSM application form. After you select a report type, select the individual report that you want to run.

Releases Scheduled By Configuration Item

Displays all the scheduled release requests grouped by CI.

Navigate to this report by selecting Release > Configuration Item > Configuration Item Scheduled Releases.

Release Risk And Impact By Scheduled Start Date

Displays all the releases with details of Risk and Impact, grouped by their scheduled start date.

Navigate to this report by selecting Release > Risk > Release Risk And Impact.

Releases with Related Problems

Displays all the problems related to the release.

Navigate to this report by selecting Release > Release Requests > Problem Records.

Cost Summary/Year-Quarter By Service-Actual Costs

Displays the cross-tab report that provides the actual costs by the Service CI.

Navigate to this report by selecting Release > Costs > Cost Summary/Year-Quarter by Service - Actual Cost.

Releases Scheduled By Service

Displays all the releases scheduled by Service CI and grouped by Service CI Name.

Navigate to this report by selecting Release > Configuration Item > Service Scheduled Releases.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
