BMC Helix ITSM: Asset Management overview


BMC Helix ITSM: Asset Management helps you manage assets, contracts, costs, software licenses, and outage indicators of your company. It helps reduce the total cost of ownership of items represented by your assets and increases return on investment. As an asset management user, you can perform the following actions:  

  • Procure assets 
  • Create and update the asset and CI attributes
  • Manage contracts
  • Monitor asset usage 
  • Maintain purchase costs and chargebacks

CI is any component that needs to be managed to deliver an IT service.

Asset is a financially valuable component that can contribute to the delivery of an IT product or service.
