Using Route Planning
The Route Planning Console allows you to create and save planned routes for current and future use and to schedule these routes.
FSA’s must do maintenance routes which need to be scheduled. To schedule maintenance routes, you first need to create and save a New Route or you can use an existing route. Saved Routes can be changed and scheduled.

New Route
New Route is used to create a route that the FSA can use to schedule regular maintenance.
Create a New Route by:
- Providing a name in the Route Name Field
- The time that the FSA needs to complete the task on site can be modified. The time is displayed in hours. Just update the field Duration (hrs). The duration on site can also be changed by adjusting the time displayed in Route Table.
Search Sites as Follows:
- Select the site name in the dropdown field Site name %

- And select the add site button

- or, select the Search Sites button

A site search screen will appear. Select the sites that you want to add to this route.

Save the New Route by selecting the Save Route button.

(Optional) Clear fields by selecting the Clear Fields button.

- The selected sites with duration on site, travel time and travel distance (km or miles) will be displayed in the Route Table and the route will be displayed on the map. Adjust the visible columns if you want to display less or more information.
- By using the up and down arrow the route can be adapted or by using the optimize icon to optimize the route.
Select the Remove Location icon to remove a site.
- The Total Distance, Travel time and Total Time (Travel & duration on site) for this route is displayed above the map.
- When you select the Save route button the following screen will display. If you select yes, you will only be able to edit this route in Saved Route view. If you still want to make some changes before you save the route, select no.


Saved Routes
Saved Routes can be changed or deleted. Saved Routes can be used for more than one scheduled route.
Click on Route Name to get a drop-down list of saved routes.

Select the route that you want to adjust. The selected route is displayed under Selected Route.

Select the delete button if you want to delete the route.

- The table with the Selected Route Sites is displayed.
- See the list of Sites on the righthand side if you want to add a location. Select the site and then select Add Location icon.

To remove a location, select the location in the Selected Route Sites table and select Remove Location icon.

Use the up and down arrow to move the location up or down the optimize icon to optimize the route.
Select View Map icon to display the route on a map.

- The Total Distance, Travel Time, Site Duration and Total Duration of this route are displayed.

Scheduled Routes
Maintenance routes need to be scheduled
To schedule maintenance routes, you first need to create and save a New Route, or you can use an existing saved route. To manage this schedule, a new schedule needs to be submitted. The new schedule can be created by using specific dates, a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly calendar. The scheduled maintenance will be managed and executed automatically workorders that can be assigned to FSA’s.
Create a new schedule
Select Scheduled Routes from the Route Planning menu.
Select the Create Schedule button.

The Schedule Routes screen will appear. Complete all the required fields.
- Schedule Criteria:
- Fill in the Customer Company from the drop-down list
- Select the Customer from the drop-down list
- Create a describing Schedule Name
- Fill in the Schedule Description
- Select from the drop down list the Schedule type e.g. Maintenance Schedule
- Select from the Saved Routes drop-down a route.
- Select correct action from the Status drop down list. Describe the following statuses and when and why will this be used.
- Active
- Inactive
- Proposed
- Offline
- Archived

Additional Required Information - Select the Work Order template from the drop-down list.
Request Manager - Select the Support Group name from the drop-down list.(Required field), Select the Request Manager (Optional field). If Request Manager is not selected there must be an auto assignment rule. If no auto assignment rule the work orders will NOT be created.
Request Assignee - Select the Support Group name from the drop-down list. (Required field), You can fill in the Request Assignee. If you leave this field blank, as this is an optional field the dispatcher will allocate the FSA in the Support Group to this work order.
Recurrence - In this section you can fill in the dates from when the schedule must run and how frequent. Recurrence type is a required field. When you select Dates, you must complete the specific dates lower on the screen.

When you select Daily you must complete the Daily Frequency lower on the screen. For example, 5, for every 5 days or 1 for every day.
When you select Weekly you can set the Weekly Frequency using the up and down arrow on the right. You can select the days of the week the schedule must run e.g. Monday or Tuesday or any combination you require.

When you select Monthly there is various monthly options available to run the schedule.

When you select Yearly there is assorted options available to run the schedule.

The Start Date and Start Time and End Date and End Time is required fields. This is the period that the schedule will run according to your requirements. Please note the start date needs to be the next day. You cannot schedule routes for the same day.
Select Save button to save the schedule

- Scheduled routes can be edited, or you can see which work orders were created.
- By selecting one of the schedules in the Schedule table, the work orders that were created for this scheduled route will be displayed in the right-hand side under Work Order. You can click on the work order to open it.
Select a schedule and select Edit Schedule icon if you want to edit an existing schedule.

The Schedule Routes screen will open and allow you to edit the current schedule. Remember to save after you change.
