Service parameters for the Service Catalog Curator

As a catalog administrator, when you enter a prompt to the Service Catalog Curator, it translates your input into an AI-generated service excerpt, description, service profile, and questionnaire. The Service Catalog Curator creates a service in a draft state by using specific parameters and attributes.

Important

You can create new Catalog-native services with the Service Catalog Curator. However, you cannot edit the existing catalog service available in the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog.

Before you start creating services with the Service Catalog Curator, understand the following list of the service parameters.

Parameters included in the Service Catalog Curator summary

After entering the service creation prompt, the Service Catalog Curator analyzes the input and generates a structured response in a table format that displays service attributes and their corresponding values. This format means catalog administrators can review all details in one place before proceeding.

The summary provided by the Service Catalog Curator includes the following parameter details:

The Service Catalog Curator creates services in a Draft state. As a catalog administrator, you should review, approve, and publish these services to make them available to end users. If you need to modify any parameters that the Service Catalog Curator does not support when creating a service, you can edit the draft of the AI-generated service in the Catalog console before publishing it.

Localization scenario

As a catalog administrator, you can enter the prompt to the Service Catalog Curator for your localization requirements for preferred locales when creating a catalog service. Localization for the Service, Catalog Profile, and Questionnaire based on the requests is supported. Service Catalog Curator presents translations in the summary for clarity, including localized labels and default locale parameters.

Service Catalog Curator supports the translation of the following components:

QuestionsLabel, Description, Default Value, Display Values
Catalog ProfileService Name, Service Excerpt, Service Description, Tags
Important
  • The Service Catalog Curator is compatible with all the locales supported by BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog. For more information, see Localizing catalog items and  Supported languages and locales.
  • Consider that the language model might occasionally generate a language that is not supported by the BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog. If you find any discrepancies, it is important to guide the agent in correcting the locale. Always validate this information before giving your confirmation.
