Using the CTGHSTRY dialog
Display the CTGHSTRY dialog by typing CTGHSTRY on any COMMAND line.

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+- Typically you enter one or more masks, one or more qualifiers, and specify the search range and number of records to return.
- If you do not specify selection criteria, default values for the time frame and the number of records returned are applied to CTG systems in the current context, and the results (if any) are displayed in the CTGHIST view. That is, you can always use the CTGHSTRY dialog to retrieve records for the default time frame without first specifying additional parameters. The default time frame is from the previous midnight to the moment Enter is pressed. The default Read From is from End date/time, displaying newest to oldest records.
(optional) Enter one or more search masks.
You can specify up to three values for each of the searchable mask types. Records are returned as long as matches are found for these values.
If multiple values are specified for a mask type, BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS searches for records that match any of the values (value1 OR value2 OR value3). If values are also specified for other mask types, only transactions that match at least one value for each specified mask type are returned.
For example, if you enter PAY1 and APAY in the Transaction Mask field, and PAYROLL in the CICS Job Mask field, the application will search for PAY1 transactions that ran in CICS PAYROLL, or APAY transactions that ran in the CICS PAYROLL. Matching records are displayed in the CTGHIST view.
For more information, see Selection-masks-for-CTGHSTRY and How-selection-criteria-is-applied-for-CTGHSTRY.
( optional ) Specify how case is handled for transaction masks.
Transaction mask values can be either case sensitive or case insensitive. Use the Uppercase Names field to specify how case should be handled.
A value of Yes or blank means that both the mask and the tested value will be converted to uppercase prior to comparison.
A value of No means that the mask and the tested value will be compared exactly as entered.
For more information, see Uppercase-Names-field-for-CTGHSTRY.
(optional) Enter the Response Range.
Specify a response range if you want to return only transaction records that fall within this range.
For more information, see How-selection-criteria-is-applied-for-CTGHSTRY.
(optional) Specify Read From and the time frame.
The value in the Read From field specifies if the END or START date/time is used to start reading CTGDETL records to be displayed. The record is listed in the order it is read. Only records that fall within the specified time frame are selected.
By default, transactions that ran from midnight of the current day up to the moment Enter is pressed are selected. You can define a time frame by entering values into any of the Start Date or Time fields, or the End Date and Time fields. The default value for Read From is END, and the newest to the oldest records are displayed.
For more information, see Read-From-and-search-time-frame-for-CTGHSTRY.
After completing the selection criteria, press Enter.
If no errors are encountered, BMC AMI OpsM for CICS searches each CTG system in the context that was active during the specified time frame. Records that satisfy the criteria (if any) are displayed in the CTGHIST view.
For information about error handling, see Error-handling-for-CTGHSTRY.
(optional) Refine the selection criteria.
After the CTGHIST view is displayed, you can use the PF3 key to return to the CTGHSTRY dialog to modify your criteria; or type CTGHSTRY on the COMMAND line.
When you return to the CTGHSTRY dialog, the previously entered criteria is available for modification. The CTGHSTRY dialog retains your criteria as long as the BMC AMI Ops window is active.
