App Visibility agent for .NET uninstallation has warnings

This topic describes an issue that can occur if files are still in use or otherwise not released by IIS during the App Visibility agent for .NET uninstallation process.

Issue

The App Visibility agent for .NET uninstallation process completes with a warning about one or more IIS extensions that cannot be unregistered.

Probable cause

One or more IIS extensions are still in use or otherwise not released by IIS during the agent for .NET uninstallation process.

Resolution

You can manually unregister agent for .NET modules:

1. In the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, right-click the following modules and select Remove:
   • BMC_AppDiag_Agent_for_dotNET_IisExtensionProbeHttpModule_32bit
   • BMC_AppDiag_Agent_for_dotNET_IisExtensionProbeHttpModule_64bit
2. From the IIS Manager Actions menu, click Configure Native Modules.
3. Select each module and click Remove.
