TrueSight IT Data Analytics upgrade fails because of a database configuration error

While upgrading TrueSight IT Data Analytics, the following error might occur on the Installation Summary screen, and the upgrade process fails:

Feature Configuration Database failed

The error might occur if you upgraded from version 2.0.00 to 2.1.00 and then to 2.7.00. The issue occurs due to a conflict between a user and its role mapping that might have occurred in IT Data Analytics version 2.1.00.  To resolve the issue, contact BMC Support.

If you face any other upgrade-related issues, consider rolling back to an earlier version before you try upgrading again.

TrueSight IT Data Analytics install or upgrade fails due to permission issues

While installing or upgrading TrueSight IT Data Analytics, the installation or upgrade might fail due to permission errors. Do the following:

  1. Ensure that the PowerShell environment path variable is set correctly.
  2. Freshly restart the install or upgrade process.
