Starting the Infrastructure Management Server

After you have stopped the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server, you must restart it manually. To restart the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server, follow the procedure appropriate for your operating system.

To start the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server on Microsoft Windows

  1. From the system tray, right-click the Infrastructure Management icon TSIM_start_server_systray.png and select Server Start.
  2. Alternatively, access the pw command prompt window and run the following command:
    pw system start

To start the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server on Linux

  1. Access the pw CLI.
  2. Run the pw sys start command.

Server processes

The BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server contains multiple processes including the following:

  • Apache web server
  • WildFly 
  • Embedded event management cell
  • Agent Controller
  • Rate process
  • Additional application server processes
