IP addresses and ports used by the meter

The following is provided as a convenience if you absolutely need the IP addresses. However, these IP addresses are subject to change without notice. As we add new load balancers, and makes changes to the platform, the IP addresses may adjust. Therefore we urge you to not white-list IP addresses.

The current IP addresses for api.truesight.bmc.com  as of October 1, 2016 are: 52.36.21.67, 52.37.156.237, and 52.37.221.50.

The current IP address block for github.com is 192.30.252.0/22.

The meter plugins require access to  github.com on port 443.

System resources required by the meter

The meter requires minimal server and network resources.

Server: The meter consumes approximately 1% or less CPU for a single core. Also, since it is multi-threaded, the consumption reduces with an increase in the number of cores.

Network: Each meter sends ~86 megabytes of data per day.
