Customizing the notification event text

You can customize the notification event text for email events to provide additional details about the monitor instances, attributes, device names, etc. with the event generated. Use the out-of-the-box variables to customize the notification email text.

You can customize notification text at:

  • Server-level: All notification rules associated with an Infrastructure Management server
  • Rule-level: A specific notification rule

Server-level vs rule-level customization, who takes the precedence?

If you have customized all notification rules associated with an Infrastructure Management server, and customize it again for a specific notification rule, then the rule-level customization takes precedence.
