Per applications deployed in a cloud

You must plan your distribution of Real User Collectors and Real User Cloud Probes, so that you know to which Collector you will connect each Cloud Probe.

Install a Cloud Probe on each server that is deployed in the cloud. When you install a Cloud Probe, you must enter the following Collector connection details:

  • IP address or DNS name of the computer with the Collector installation
  • Port number of the Collector (by default, 443)
  • Collector user name
  • Collector password

In the Cloud Probe Maintenance Tool, you can change the configuration of the Collector to which the Cloud Probe is connected.

The Cloud Probe starts monitoring automatically after installation. On the Cloud Probes page of the Collector, you can see the connection status of the Cloud Probe and the last time that data was sent to the Collector.
