Add RHEV Manager dialog box
Use this dialog box to add a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager for monitoring in your environment.
This dialog box contains the following items:
Item | Description |

Hostname | Enter the host name of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager that you want to add |
Username | Entertheusernamerequiredto access the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
Password | Enter the password corresponding to the username |
Domain | Enter the domain of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
Certificate Path | Enter the path for the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager certificate for server validation. Note: The path should be an absolute path to the location where the certificate resides on the PATROL Agent. For example, /home/patrol/ca.crt. |
Port | Enter the port number for the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
Configure Filter Options dialog box
Use this dialog box to configure filters for data centers, clusters, hosts, and virtual machines and filtering hosts and virtual machines (VMs) based on the availability of fully-qualified domain names (FQDNs) in the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environment.
This dialog box contains the following items:
Item | Description |
---|---|
RHEV Manager | Displays the host name of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
DataCenter | Enter the filter criteria for data centers |
Clusters | Enter the filter criteria for clusters |
Hosts | Enter the filter criteria for hosts |
VMS | Enter the filter criteria for VMs |
Disable (Default) | Select this option if you want all the hosts and VMs to be monitored. |
Enable | Select this option if you want the hosts and virtual machines that do not have FQDNs to be excluded from monitoring. |

Configure JAVA_HOME dialog box
By default, BMC PATROL for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization uses Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that is installed with the PATROL Agent. However, you can configure BMC PATROL for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization to use your own JRE. Use this dialog box to specify a different Java home directory.
This dialog box contains the following item:
Item | Description |

Specify JAVA_HOME | Enter the completepathfortheJava home directory if you are not using the JRE that is installed with the PATROL Agent For example, if your Java executable exists in the /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_71/jre/bin/java path, specify /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_71/jre as the value of this field. |

Manage List of RHEV Managers dialog box
Use this dialog box to add, modify, and delete Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Managers from your virtual environment.
This dialog box contains the following items:

Hostname | Displays the name of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager that is being modified or deleted |
Username | Displays the user name required to access the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
Add RHEV Manager | Displays the Add RHEV Manager dialog box to add a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
Modify RHEV Manager | Displays the Edit RHEV Manager dialog box to modify a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
Delete RHEV Manager | Enables you to delete a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager |
