Web Server Access Log Statistics (INET_Web_AccLogStat)

The INET_Web_AccLogStat application class provides availability and integrity statistics for a Web or proxy server's Access Log. The metrics is collected by the accessLogMonitor parameter of the server class, which also controls the creation of new instances; therefore, this application class does not have its own Prediscovery or Discovery process.
The application has instances, called Utilized Statistic Sets, which can be thought of as buckets. These buckets contain the metrics for requests that satisfy the match (not match) criteria specified in the Configure Access Log Statistics Set dialog box. Adding or Deleting Utilized Statistic Sets will display or not display the instance icons for each Statistic Set (or bucket).
This application class has three types of parameters:

  • The Rate parameters reflect the rate of data for a particular Utilized Statistic Set compared to the total in the ALL bucket.
  • Percent parameters reflect the percent of data for a particular Utilized Statistic Set compared to the total in the ALL bucket. For example, if there are 100 requests in the ALL bucket and 50 requests in the UrlNotFound bucket, the UrlNotFound/requestsPercent parameter will show 50%. The percent parameters in the ALL bucket always show 100%.
  • Peak parameters report the highest value collected for a given parameter within a "peak interval." A peak interval is the length of time between accessLogMonitor parameter execution times.
