Internet Server (INET_Servers)

The INET_Servers application class is a top-level application instance for monitoring Internet servers on a host. The host name can represent a physical or virtual name, or a DNS alias. Internet servers, such as Web servers, monitored on the host appear as nested instances under this instance.

Prediscovery
Prediscovery quickly determines whether Internet servers can be monitored on a machine by checking the platform type. If the platform is Unix or Windows, the application is activated.

Discovery
Discovery watches for changes to configurations of monitored Internet servers. The configuration checks are performed during full discovery cycles or when the configuration has been updated.
